A physio might not be your first choice when thinking about who can help you with your jaw problems. However, physiotherapists with a special interest in jaw pain and movement disorders, known as TMDs or temporomandibular disorders, can help you understand why your jaw is causing you so much trouble and devise some treatment and home management strategies to ease your problems.
Andrew Clarkson has been a physiotherapist for over 30 years. He has a Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Physiotherapy and is a Titled APA Sports, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, along with being a member of the Australian College of Physiotherapists.
Andrew believes strongly in educating people as to the causes leading to their problems and the ways in which people can assist in helping themselves.
He works from the Physio@439 and at Wakefield Sports + Exercise Medicine Clinic. In a previous life as a sports physio Andrew has worked with the Sturt Football Club, State Hockey programmes, Oakdale Netball Club and the Australian Beach Volleyball programme including the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
